Like many emergency food providers across the United States, NHCFP is experiencing a noticeable reduction in the variety of food available through our main sources of bulk food. Both the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the USDA have had to scale back on the types of food products that pantries like NHCFP are able to purchase in order to stock their shelves.
However, client need is not decreasing. We continue to seek out diverse sources of bulk food to expand upon the staples that GCFD and the USDA are able to provide. Monetary donations to NHCFP provide us with funds to purchase food from alternative sources of bulk food whenever necessary.
Please consider making a donation in any amount to help us in our mission, "Seeking to feed the hungry and sharing resources to improve the quality of life of those in need."
